Okay, I know it’s like more than a week left of August and most people like to hold on to these last summer days but I am so not that kind of person. For the second year in a row, I’m feeling that overwhelming feeling of excitement for the upcoming season and I’m starting to feel that fall has become my new favorite season. Heck yeah! I have so many things on my mind that I want to do this fall and I know I say it in the beginning of every season but this time the feeling is stronger than ever. Maybe because I’ve already made some plans for September hehe. Anywayyy, let’s get into the 10 things you (and I) must do this fall! It’s gonna be a good one!
1. Eat pumpkin spiced foods
.. or drink pumpkin spiced drinks! PSL is the real deal and if you don’t drink it like every other week, you’re officially not in the fall squad.
2. Burn fall candles
Yes, it’s obvious but I think I’ve never had a real Fall smelling candle in my home and this year I’m going to fix it. Bath and Body Works, hit me up?
3. Have a campfire
I know, I know, I had it in my summer to-do list and never got into doing it but campfires in fall are way more fun, aren’t they? Just imagine snuggling in your favorite fall sweater, having a blanker over your shoulders, drinking tea and warming up your hand by the fire. I meaaan, c-o-z-y!!
4. Take pictures of the colorful leaves
It’s cliche but it’s fun. And beautiful. I’ve noticed that I take way too little pictures of nature and the beauty of it. Fall is the easiest season when it comes to photography and you can’t miss having a photo session with all the colorful trees!
5. Go apple picking
A new chance to do thing I didn’t do in summer. Berry picking is fun and all but that doesn’t mean you cannot have as much fun going apple picking instead. And it’s way easier!

6. Make a pie
Now that you’ve picked your apples, it’s time to bake a delicious cake out of them! I’m a huge fan when it comes to pies and pies in fall are next level. Apple pies, pumpkin pies, cinnamon pies, pecan pies – you name it! Everything sounds good and the smell you get from the baking – heaven!
7. Open the windows
It’s standard the season before but opening your windows on a crisp autumn morning when it’s raining… Let’s just say it’s incredible.
8. Take a day trip
Of course you can do this any day of the year but I feel like discovering new places while the nature is at it’s best and everyone are getting in the festive mood can be very exciting. Take your best friend, go on a road
trip or visit another country for a day. It would get you in such a good mood and it’ll be good to get out of your routine for a day.
9. Spoil yourself
Who wouldn’t like to be Blair Waldorf for a day? I know I would! As the weather is getting colder and the school routine is back on, it’s good to treat yourself with things you don’t do often. Go and get a manicure, have day at the spa or just buy something nice for yourself. I think we all deserve that from time to time.
10. Be grateful
Fall is thanksgiving season and although we don’t celebrate it here in Estonia, I think it’s still important to be humble on an everyday basis. Spend time with your family, enjoy the little things and be positive about life. That’s something we all can do and I guarantee that having that kind of mindset will make you the happiest you’ve ever been.
I could continue this list for another 50 things but I’m not gonna go that far haha. I left out some really fally things just because we don’t have a tradition of celebrating these things in our country. I still hope you got some ideas for the upcoming season and let’s have the best fall season ever! Oh, and you want more fall inspiration follow me on Pinterest!
